Australasian Mahjong Festival Takes to High Seas Off Queensland Coast

AUSTRALIA - The 2015 Australasian Mahjong Festival will this week see more than 90 competitors aged between 59 and 91 years old compete from as far afield as New Zealand.

Richard Stöckemann Germany's First Tournament Winner

EDEWECHT - Richard Stöckeman is the winner of the first Edewecht MCR Open Championship. A very proud Mr. Uwe Martens, president of the German Mahjong League (DMJL) pronounced that this was the very first time that a German player has won an official, internationally acknowledged, mahjong tournament.

36 players from four countries (Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark and Austria) participated in the tournament. Runner-up was Tina Christensen from Denmark, whilst the third prize was for Michael Zahradnik, also from Germany. The Danish Red Dragons won the team competition.
