At last, Doris Sallmutter could win her first international tournament at the 2017 Austrian MCR Open.

GURK, Austria - Doris Sallmutter wins her first international tournament at the 2017 Austrian MCR Open. Runner up was Marjan Van Den Nieuwendijk from the Netherlands, and the third place again goes to Austria and Helmut Riegler.

UPPSALA, Sweden - This weekend thirty-two players from seven countries gathered in Uppsala for this year’s Swedish Open Championship in Mahjong.  After seven rounds Isabel Bahiano Steenholm could call herself winner. The strong Dane thus showed that the top achievement in Porto last month was not just luck but very much good performance. The runner up Moa Henriet from Sweden won the prize as best Swede, and Pauline van der Linden from the Netherlands ended up as third.

SAINT PETERSBURG, Russia - Aleksander Bogatikov is the winner of the MCR Saint Petersburg Open 2017.

PARIS, France - Today in Paris, a group of 48 French players gathered for a tournament. Caroline Arnaud did the best; she won the tournament, before Bernard Lao and Mattthieu Pfeiffer.

BERGHEM, the Netherlands - And again, a victory for Joël Ratsimendresy. Today in the MCR Dutch Open at Berghem, the Frenchman was the strongest player in a field of 88. Just one week ago, he was the winner in the Riichi (!) Open in the Austrian town of Graz. Runner-up was Marco Montebelli from Italy, who is just as used as standing on the podium as Joël. Third place was for Ans Hoogland from the Netherlands.
