VEGAS, USA - The top four players for 2017 move on to the final table. Masaharu Tomotake, Hiroyuki Yamada, Yutaka Nakamura, and Ryuichi Masuda. Four players, two hanchan, one champion. With one hanchan down, the path begins to emerge.

The final Knock-Out round is done.

VEGAS, USA - The final knock-out round is done. The top four players for 2017 move on to the final table. Masaharu Tomotake, Hiroyuki Yamada, Yutaka Nakamura, and Ryuichi Masuda. Four players, two hanchan, one champion.

VEGAS, USA - The third knock-out round is begun. As with the previous two knockout rounds, their scores were zeroed out, and everyone began with a new clean slate. The top two players from each table will advance on to the Final Four. Two Westerners make the cut, Lena Weinguny (AT) and Katsuo Takeda (US).

VEGAS, USA - The second knock-out round is done, and only eight progress.  As with the previous two knockout rounds, their scores will be zeroed out, and everyone began with a new clean slate. The top two players from each table will advance on to the Final Four. Two Westerners make the cut, Lena Weinguny (AT) and Katsuo Takeda (US).

The field is narrowed to the top 16.

VEGAS, USA - Once the players made it into the top 16, again their scores were zeroed out, and everyone began with a new clean slate. The top two players from each table will advance on to the top 8.

With a strong performance, Shigekazu Moriyama was able to overcome a chombo for declaring an invalid winning hand, and still pass into the top 16.
